初めまして。下井田惠子と申します。わたしはアメリカに２００１年４月から２０１６年２月まで住んでいました。その間、２人の学童期の子どもを育てながら大学院に通って修士号を取得、スピーチパソロジストの認定資格を得て、スピーチパソロジストとして乳幼児から高齢の方まで幅広い年齢層の方々にサービスを提供しました。

Hello! I am Keiko Shimoida. I lived in the US (Texas, California and Hawaii) from April 2001 to February 2016. While rasing two school age children, I attended a graduate school, obtained master of science, and became a speech-language pathlogist. There, I provided speech-language services for clients ranging from infants to senior people.

帰国してからは中高校生に英語を教えています。After having returned to Japan, I have been teaching English to junior high and high scool students.

アメリカ在住時、さまざまな移民と知り合い、お互い異国で暮らすことの大変さや悩みを共有し、支え合ったことが、今ではとても良い思い出となっています。そういった経験を元に、アメリカで暮らしている方々のお力になれたらと願っています。

While I lived in the US with my family, I got to know quite a few people with various cultural and linguistic backgrounds and made friends with them. We shared our troubles and concerns and supported each other, which is one of my precious memories. With this experience, I wish to be of help to those who need suppot in their US life.
